Yeah i agree about the download limits (allthough thats not a issuse for me directly) but once higher download limits are used by ISPs and tech like fiber is released then it will be the only real way to buy games, i doubt the "media" versions will even be available in a few years to come.

Steam has it's advantages, and despite a few bugs it's a useful system
At the moment due to so many companies jumping on steam to offer their current and older products, it's a good program to be running
As well as a good way to play older games due to non- compatibility with newer systems , it's great to play alot of the older games from ID, microprose etc
I will reccommend the X-com games though, really old strategy games like these remind me of what's be lost in better graphics
If steam continues it could be a major player in the years to come, as it offers a great deal for anyone looking to play games [although the annoyance of downloading everything on quotas is just frustrating]

yeah i know what you mean wolvy, but most games run on steam, and apart from the constant activity, its a pretty handy system

I never liked having steam on my pc to be honest imo it sent or recieved info even when you wernt playing and that bugged me lol so i get rid of it when im not playing something that requires it.
